This holiday is meant to rejoice in the glory and the wonder that is the collective writings of Squirrelking. On May 18th, 2006, a young author by the name of Squirrelking published his first work on Fanfiction.net entitled "Half Life: Full Life Consequences". It became an instant classic and was followed up by the sqeual "Half Life: Full Life Consequences 2: What Has Tobe Done". Since his initial publication, Squirrelking has written at least nine works of fanfiction in total, each one dedicated to a video game he cherishes. Since its initial inception, "Full Life Consequences" has spawned a cult following that has produced dramatic readings and even Machinima films via Garry's Mod for the viewing public to enjoy.

Celebrating Squirrelking Appreciation Day

Just how does one celebrate such a holiday you ask?

Well! We celebrate it by writing our own stories of glorious fanfiction in the style of the immortal and legendary Squirrelking himself! You don't need to have worry if you've never written a story of considerable length before, just try your best! Simply read over some of the great author's stories and analyze his writing style, his grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and even his uses of thematic elements such as character development, plot twists, and how well he remains in keeping with the canon of the game he is writing within the universe of!

For further examples, feel free to use the various Squirrelking Appreciation Day (or S.A.D. for short) stories listed here as templates for your own work! Be thoughtful in your work and careful in your story crafting though. We don't want to let down Mr. Squirrelking!

Remember though, the day the celebration occurs is MAY 18TH so be sure to have something ready to share on that day! Work on it ahead of time! Wait until the day of and write something in a quick flash! It's all okay!
